Active Kids
FAQs
Who is eligible for a voucher?
Every child enrolled in school from Kindergarten to year 12 will be eligible for the Active Kids Voucher and must:
reside in NSW
hold or be listed on a valid Medicare card
How can I get a voucher?
Parents, guardians and carers can claim an Active Kids voucher through Service NSW. You will need to have or create a MyServiceNSW account.
You will require a valid Medicare card with details of the eligible child to complete the transaction and claim the voucher.
Once this process is complete an alpha-numeric voucher code will be provided that can then be used to offset the cost of physical activity participation.
When can I use my voucher?
Each eligible child can access two $100 Active Kids vouchers each calendar year through to 2022.
The first $100 voucher is available any time from 1 January to 31 December.
The second $100 voucher is available any time from 1 July to 31 December.
Can I combine the two vouchers to pay for the one activity?
No, you cannot combine the two vouchers to pay for a single activity in the same term even if the activity costs more than $100. Active Kids is intended to increase a child’s participation in sport or active recreation.
The vouchers must be used for a separate program of activity or a different activity.
How do I use my voucher for Little Athletics registration?
You will need to apply for your child/ren’s voucher BEFORE beginning the registration process.
Once you have a voucher, enter the specific voucher number allocated to the child that you are registering, into the appropriate box (located at the bottom of the details section) within the registration portal, and the registration fee payable will be reduced accordingly.
DO NOT USE A VOUCHER when registering your child as a TRIALIST. Only use a voucher when making full payment.
