State Relay Championships
The State Relay Championships is the largest event on the LANSW calendar in terms of number of competitors. As the name suggests the Championships are comprised entirely of relay events. With Junior athletes (U8 to U11), compete on the Saturday and Senior athletes (U12 to U17) compete on the Sunday.

Zone & Regional Championships
The Zone and Regional Championships are the progression competitions for athletes to qualify to compete at the annual State Track & Field Championships. There are 8 Regional Championships made up from 23 Zone Championships, which are all held between December 2021- February 2022.

Kumon State Combined
The State Combined Carnival is held on the first weekend in March each year, at a regional venue. At this carnival, athletes participate in ALL of the events on offer for their age group and points are allocated for performances recorded in each event, based on the Little Athletics NSW Multi-Event Point score tables/system. The points across all events conducted for each age group are added together to determine final results. Entries are ONLINE only. There are no refunds following initial close of entry.

State Track & Field Championships
The State Track & Field Championships are the culmination of the track & field competition season. To avoid clashing with Athletics Australia’s Australian Championships, next year the Championships will be held on Saturday & Sunday, 2 & 3 April 2022 at SOPAC (Sydney Olympic Park Athletic Centre). Athletes in the age groups U9 through to U17 progress through to this event after qualifying from their Regional Championships.

State Team - Australian Little Athletics Championships 2021/22
23-24 April 2022 in Melbourne.
The ALAC (Australian Little Athletics Championships) is a two-day event held every year in April, for athletes in U13 and 4 U15 age group. The event is hosted by each State or Territory on a rotational basis. All States and Territories, with the exception of the Northern Territory, are represented at the championships.
Racewalking Carnival hosted by NSW Racewalking Inc.
The Little Athletics NSW Racewalking Carnival will be held in the first weekend of May each year (tbc). This event is hosted by NSW Racewalking Club Inc. U9-U17 age groups will be eligible to enter the Racewalking Carnival. Medals are awarded to the top 3 placings in each age group, male & female.

State Road Walks & Cross Country Championships
The State Cross-Country, up until 2015, held on the first Sunday in July each year. In 2016 Little Athletics NSW and Athletics NSW combined and held two separate events Athletes in the U7 through to U17 age groups are eligible to enter the State Cross-Country. Entries are made online. There is no refund after the initial close of entry.

Cross Country Carnival
Located in Western Sydney, the Cross Country Carnival hosts 800m-4km medal races for athletes aged U7-U17 years. Alongside a Community 4km event opened to all non-members, family & friends (minimum age 16yrs) and a Tiny Tot/U6 300m event opened to all non-members, family & friends (no medals awarded).
