Introduction to Coaching Course (ITLAS)
The Introduction to Coaching Course (ITLAS) is designed to help participants become better placed to assist children to perform basic athletics skills.
ITLASs are practical coaching courses designed for Little Athletics and conducted on behalf of Little Athletics Australia. They cover how to teach basic working models for each event on the Little Athletics program. Participants will be shown event-specific skills, drills, games and activities relevant to the target age group.
Level 1 Community Athletics Coach
This is the entry level for all Accredited Athletic Coaches. The course introduces the fundamental skills of running, jumping & throwing as well as exploring how to engage athletes in long-term participation and how to coach skills to beginner athletes.
Level 1 Run Leader
This course is necessary if you want to become an accredited coach with the Athletics Australia Recreational Running Framework. The course introduces how to lead a recreational run group under the guidance of a Level 2 Intermediate Recreational Running Coach or higher.

Community Coaching General Principles Course
The Community Coaching General Principles (CCGP) course has been developed to assist coaches to learn the basic skills of coaching, particularly those coaches working with children.
Inclusive Coaching Online Course
This free online interactive course is aimed at community coaches who wish to broaden their understanding and gain confidence in inclusive coaching.
How to Coach the Fundamentals of Movement Workshop
All coaches who work with children and young people should have an understanding of the importance of Fundamental Movement Skills and knowledge of how to support children in developing these skills, which underpin successful participation in a wide variety of sporting activities.
This practically based workshop is designed to help you learn how to nurture physically confident children and adults – the key to a healthy and active lifestyle across the lifespan.
NOTE: Little Athletics NSW highly recommends this workshop as training for deliverers of Tiny Tots sessions and the On Track program.
Coaching Children 5-12: The Next Generation Workshop
This workshop incorporates the latest research on essential topics that are intrinsic in the coaching of children between the ages of 5 and 12. This is an exciting chance for you to reconsider the emphasis of your coaching and enhance the experience of your young participants. The material is delivered in a practical way to provide you with all of the innovative techniques and cutting-edge information you need to become a more effective coach.

“Engage” Workshop For Coaches
This ‘Working With Parents in Sport’ workshop is designed to help coaches build positive relationships with sporting parents.
